BCRO took this lovely dog into their foster care program when he was only 8 week sold. He came to us with a broken leg, an accident that happened when he was just 2 weeks old and his breeder did not have the resources to give him the care he needed. He was listed free to a good home and the ad was brought to the rescue's attention. BCRO stepped in and did their best to give him a better quality of life for the future with the help of an Orthopedic surgeon.
In 2008, it was actually discovered Skip's leg had never in fact been broken, and he had all along been missing the long bone in his ankle since birth. Skip now uses a prosthesis to get around and is enjoying his life to the fullest.
