HELP US HELP DECKSTIR

DECKSTIRS PAGE

Border Collie Rescue Ontario is working with Canine Wellness Centre to help a dog in need! Deckstir a sweet 2 yr old male Border Collie ruptured a disc playing ball about 6 weeks ago. His owners took him down to the VEC in Toronto and surgery was performed to remove the Hemorrhage and decompress the vertebrae and Dexter is doing great but requires some proper physio and time to heal and 'hopefully' to walk again. Deckstir  is a SUPER happy boy that loves to play ball he is friendly with everyone. This is a video of Tania fitting Deckstir with a extra chair she had so he can get around... the first thing he did after being stationary for 6 weeks.. was Shake and shake and shake! So happy to be standing... then he wanted to play ball :)

BCRO is seeking donations to get Deckstir his own set of wheels and properly rehabilitate in hopes that he 'may' walk again. We will be at the All About Pets Show in Toronto Easter Weekend, and hope to have a raffle to help raise money for Deckstir.

Welcome To Border Collie Rescue Ontario

BCRO is a a non-profit volunteer based organization dedicated to the welfare of the Border Collie. We depend on donations, adoption fees and fundraising to provide for the dogs in our foster care.

Our Goals

To rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Border Collies that have been abandoned, neglected or no longer able to remain in their current home.

To place adoptable dogs into appropriate homes making the best match possible for the dog and adopter.

To educate the public on the characteristics and needs of the breed. To commit and promote the spay and neuter of all dogs that come into our care.

To provide advice and contact information to Border Collie owners when needed, encouraging them to work with and keep their dogs.
